Launch an affiliate program and develop the commercial partnerships that deliver real Ecommerce Growth
bring 25 years of ecommerce affiliate marketing expertise to your brandBuild together.
Most ecommerce brands get affiliate marketing wrong. And most ecommerce agencies don't know how to run a successful affiliate programme for a brand (because they've never done it)
So, they resort to the following approach;
- Add an off-the-shelf app to their store and launch right away
- Set low commission rate around 5% to "test the water"
- Add 'join our affiliate programme' link to the footer of the navigation
- Send out a newsletter announcing a NEW AFFILIATE PROGRAMME!!!
- Believe they're indeed 'testing the water' with affiliate marketing
- Little to no response and quickly give up and move on to the next channel (usually ads)
... and this is before we talk about crappy discount code farms that tar the affiliate industry and the opportunity it presents.
It's a real shame as, when launched and managed correctly, affiliate marketing can be a hugely profitable and consistent revenue stream in so many niches and categories.
I'm just glad you're here to figure out how to do affiliate marketing correctly. I hope I can be of help to you.
So, me and affiliate marketing go back to the last century.
Seriously. I launched one of the first affiliate programmes and took the role of the first dedicated Affiliate Manager for a UK store way back in 1999.
It was real pioneer territory managing the partner relationships we nurtured with the likes of BT, Royal Mail, Lastminute.com, FantasyFootball... the list expands to over 1,500 affiliate partners. We operated a store selling magazine subscriptions and pitched the idea of a 'done for you' magazine shop that affiliate could manage and earn commission on every sale. It was by far the biggest revenue earner for our business.
Fast forward 20+ years and the opportunities are still as big in today's marketplace working with social influencers, niche blogs and hobbyist sites all looking for new revenue streams. Take sustainable influencers and bloggers as one example... niches that are eager to build affiliate partnerships to drive up revenues alongside their ad earnings.
And the great thing for you? Your competitors are probably getting all this wrong.
My role is to strategically plan, launch and manage your affiliate programme. To take all the decision making and initial steps off your plate and to make sure this is done properly.
That means;
- mapping out exactly what the affiliate programme looks like from a commercial and financial viewpoint
- providing affiliates everything they need to make selling your products as easy and lucrative for them as possible
- ensure you're using the right affiliate platform and all tracking processes are in place
- managing your communications strategy... from your first affiliate partner to your 100th and beyond
- in-house training because I want to make sure you're taking ownership of your affiliate programme long term
- creating 'the offer' that is the cornerstone of your affiliate marketing success
- recruiting key affiliate partners and influencers to ensure you hit the ground running
- providing a hub of insights for your affiliates and managing a monthly newsletter for your affiliates highlighting the best ways to drive sales and inspiration from fellow affiliates
- launching a tiered-strategy to incentivise affiliates to take the partnership to the next level
The list goes on. My job is to ensure you've done everything possible to bring attention to your affiliate programme, recruit the right affiliates and build partnerships that deliver you growth levels that make you wish you'd launched a lot lot earlier.
I only work with 5 ecommerce brands at any one time. Typically we're looking at working together for between 6 and 9 months. All work takes place under a strict NDA.
As mentioned above, my job is to give you the keys to run your affiliate programme successfully in-house. There's never any overlap or competing brands. That means I'm dedicating considerable time to helping you build, launch and manage each and every element of your programme to deliver a highly successful, easy to manage, programme that drives considerable growth for your ecommerce business.
